“Often there’s an adversarial relationship between architects and contractors. We didn’t have that with Thompson Suskind. We established trust early on, and everybody had the same goal of doing the best job we could.”
“We worked very closely together on a large house in Pacific Heights. It was a very complicated, involved project. But they have a very positive attitude, and they are always looking for ways to solve problems. It was a really positive experience.”
This unique Laurel Heights home underwent a much needed overhaul of systems, structure and all finishes. Positioned between 7 abutting lots, this keyed lot configuration created many challenges for our team. The result is a beautiful 5000 square foot home with traditional touches throughout and light pouring in from all sides. We worked with the architect to come up with a suitable series of fire rated glazing along the property line wall that captures fantastic views all along the north elevation. The preexisting unfinished basement was transformed into a comfortable two car garage along with a full guest suite, laundry room and access to the private garden. Thompson Suskind assisted with all phases of the acquisition, design and sale of the home.
